Dr. Frances Grasso (Optometrist) graduated from the University of New South Wales with a Bachelor of Vision Science and a Master of Clinical Optometry. She is dedicated to delivering comprehensive and personalised eye care tailored to each patient’s unique needs.
With a special interest in paediatric optometry, Frances offers full scope myopia management including orthokeratology night lenses, MiSight 1-day contact lenses, MiYOSMART spectacles and low-dose atropine eye drops. Frances Grasso is a proud member of both the Orthokeratology Society of Oceania (OSO) and the Cornea and Contact Lens Society of Australia (CCLSA).
Frances Grasso is an active member of the Australasian College of Behavioural Optometry (ACBO), where she has pursued further studies regarding vision and learning, strabismus, amblyopia and visual skills such as accommodation, vergence and oculo-motor dysfunctions. She routinely collaborates with other allied health practitioners to enhance patient wellbeing and optimise educational outcomes.
As a therapeutically endorsed optometrist, Frances Grasso is qualified to prescribe medications for various ocular infections, inflammation and glaucoma. She offers comprehensive dry eye disease management through advanced treatments including intense pulsed light (IPL), low-level light therapy (LLLT), Blephasteam goggles and prescription medicatons.
During her studies, Frances Grasso participated in rural and regional placements throughout Australia. She also conducted research on the complications of contact lens wear, developing and validating a diagnostic algorithm to streamline the diagnosis process for clinicians.
