Childhood Myopia is a huge concern for us. Myopia (short-sightedness) is a global epidemic that is on an exponential rise. By 2050, 50% of the world’s population will be short-sighted (currently 30%). We believe that early detection and intervention in kids with myopia is the key to reducing the impact of myopia on their long-term visual health, including reducing their risk for more serious eye diseases in the future like glaucoma, cataract, retinal detachment and myopic macular degeneration. Our goal is to address and mitigate the growing diagnosis of Myopia in the population and this starts with the children.
Our optometrists are highly experienced with Children’s Vision and Myopia Control, with extensive training and development, children-friendly resources and equipped with state of the art clinical methods that aim to address and optimally manage the progression of Myopia.
