Greg Sexty
Greg Sexty
Greg is a highly experienced qualified Optical Dispenser and Optical Mechanic who had worked for decades in the industry. As such, he enjoys the challenge of an unusual prescription or frame needs. High prescription, lots of astigmatism? Not a problem. He loves being an optical mechanic the most because he not only gets to work in a fashion-conscious environment, but also a technical hands-on environment.
Greg is a local, having been raised in Oatley and now lives in the Sutherland Shire. Being a local means Greg has the advantage in choosing the best optical and visual needs for all patients who frequent the Kareela practice.
As practice manager of Kareela, you’ll see him juggling phone calls, chats to locals, edging and fitting lenses, and day-to-day practice management. He strives on making sure all patients are 100% satisfied with their frames and lenses and is always honest when it comes to frame and lens aesthetics.

Outside of work, Greg has travelled extensively and worked abroad in Switzerland in his youth. He’s skied down the Schilthorn (alt 2,970m) in Switzerland; hiked down the most dangerous hiking trail in the world – Angel’s Landing, Utah; hitchhiked across Canada; hiked inside the Arctic Circle and walked the Na Pali coast on the island of Kauai. One of his favorite spots on the planet is a little fishing village on Crete called Loutro.
Nowadays, he enjoys a quieter existence with his dog, Reg, and his family. If he’s not at work, you’ll find him down at Cronulla or walking around the neighbourhood.
Fun fact: Greg is an information powerhouse when it comes to world trivia.
